Apple Watch deals are often among the highlights of the Amazon Prime Day. In previous years, we’ve seen both official and non-official Prime Day Apple Watch deals with savings across Apple’s range of smart wearables, and we’re hoping this year will be no different. In fact, Best Buy may have beaten Amazon’s Prime Day before it even happens because it has a record $80 off Apple Watch Series 9 with GPS and up to $100 off with GPS + cellular.
Last year saw the release of two new Apple Watches: Apple Watch Series 9 and the super rugged Apple Watch Ultra 2. We’re hoping to see discounts on both, as well as on the more economical Apple Watch SE 2, which was released in September 2022. There’s also a chance that we might see deals on the 2022 Apple Watch Ultra and Apple Watch Series 8, although most retailers only have renewed options in stock.

Apple Watch Series 9 is the latest Apple smartwatch released in September 2023. It comes in two choices of case size: 41mm and 45mm, each with various strap options. New features include a brighter screen and a new double-tap gesture for easy control.
Apple Watch Series 9: from $399 $319
Save up to $110: Best Buy may have beaten Prime Day before it happens with a record $80 off Apple Watch Series 9 with GPS and $110 off with GPS + cellular. There are record low prices on both 41mm and 45mm sizes in various style options. There’s a chance Amazon may beat this price during Prime Day itself, but Apple Watch discounts don’t tend to get better than this.
Apple Watch SE 2 is a more economical smartwatch. It doesn’t have the always-on display or the double tap feature of the Apple Watch Series 9, but it does have a range of health and exercise metrics, and you can pair it with an iPhone to take calls or control your music.
Apple Watch SE 2: $249 $189 at Amazon Save $60: Amazon has been running this deal for a while already, but it’s close to the cheapest the Apple Watch SE 2 has ever been. In fact, it was only cheaper than this once. That was in December 2023 when the price for the smaller model fell to $179, also at Amazon.
The Apple Watch Ultra 2 is the latest in Apple’s line of super rugged smartwatches with additional metrics and extra-long battery life. We’ve not spotted any early Prime Day Apple Watch Ultra deals yet, but you can follow the best prices in your region using our price-tracking widget below.
Will there be Prime Day Apple Watch deals?
We don’t yet know what deals Amazon will run on Prime Day itself, but in previous years we have seen some official Prime Day Apple Watch deals. Those will require Amazon Prime membership (you can always sign up for a free trial now to ensure you’re prepared). However, most deals are likely to be unofficial Prime Day deals that are open to everyone.

We’ve been reviewing the Apple Watch since it debuted in 2015, and have experience using every model. We look at a combination of price, release date and specs, and whether a deal is the lowest we’ve seen for a particular model – or still worth considering even if not.
Do I need the latest Apple Watch?
Unlike the iPhone, updates the Apple Watch have proven fairly incremental over the last few years. The Series 7 brought a larger display and fast charging, the Series 8 added a temperature sensor and the Series 9 is faster thanks to Apple silicon while also adding a brighter screen and new double-tap control. If you find a good Prime Day deal on an older Apple Watch, it might be worth grabbing if you’re not bothered about those features, but most retailers do not have much if any stock on older models and generally only selling renewed (previously owned) items.
